 “Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair provides a solid platform for Taiwan’s printing industry to find international customers for business expansion. We are participating in the fair for the second consecutive year and the response has been encouraging. Our high-profile pavilion booth features 13 printing companies showcasing a good variety of original printing designs and ideas for various applications including artwork, gifts and various packaging purposes. Every participating company has its own appeal to add value for the packaging requirements of different customers. More than 300 printing companies in Taiwan are members of the association and we are working pro-actively to facilitate their overseas growth. Our debut exhibition in Hong Kong last year generated some good business for our companies. We are positive about the results this year. We’ve met a number of Chinese mainland and international buyers here and look forward to establishing long-term business relationship with them. This fair is really a convenient and effective meeting place to raise our profile.”

 “Cleaner production is the way forward for the printing industry with growing environmental concerns. The Hong Kong Printers Association is capitalising on the great opportunity of Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair this year to promote new technology in cleaner production. Many large-sized printers have taken the task seriously and we want to encourage more SMEs to join the wave through the exhibition. In the first few hours of exhibition, about 40-50 visitors including printing-related companies from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, the Philippines and Taiwan have approached us. They showed good interest in how new technology in cleaner production can work for printers. Those committed to the venture will see the benefits of lower costs and better productivity through energy and water savings, VOC treatment, waste water and solid waste treatment as well as process re-engineering. Everything has been well organised in the fair. We anticipate to meet more industry players as the exhibition helps raise the awareness of cleaner production.”

 “Our group is a leader in the integrated poultry and food business in Thailand. Our food products are sold domestically and to different markets worldwide including Asia and Europe under two major brands – S-Pure and BETAGRO. We put strong emphasis on the quality and safety of the food we produce every day. This is our first-ever visit to Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to source packaging products. We’ve already found five potential suppliers from Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Chinese mainland for packaging items that will be used for our frozen and chilled food products. We’ve got some samples and our sales and marketing team will examine their quality closely before concluding orders with the new suppliers. This is a very nice exhibition. We are able to find a lot of interesting packaging products and ideas here. We would like to visit the fair again next year.”

 “With a history of over 100 years, Kuo Yuan Ye is a well-known chain of pastry stores in Taiwan and a popular brand in wedding cakes business. Besides traditional Chinese pastry, we have extended our product lines to cover western style cookies. We are running 25 stores across Taiwan currently. I am visiting Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair for the first time to source suitable packaging items. It’s quite a large-scaled exhibition offering a great assortment of interesting items. I’ve identified a Chinese mainland supplier who produce some nice metal boxes. The design of metal boxes looks appealing and can be used for the packaging of our wedding cakes. We will provide detailed specifications so the supplier can produce samples based on our requirements. Then our sourcing team will make a decision on the amount of business orders.”
